Plum Creek Golf Course is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Winchester, Illinois, adjacent to Interstate 72 in west central Illinois at exit 52. 10 miles west of Jacksonville, IL. Half way between Quiincy and Springfield, IL.
Plum Creek Golf Course first opened for play in 1995. The course was designed by Steven Halberg.
The course has both flat areas and rolling hills with numerous trees, primarily on the boundary. The course features wide open fairways with water hazards coming into play on four holes. Plum Creek runs through the property; however, water is supplied by a 6-acre lake on the course. The slightly sloped greens are average-sized.
Plum Creek Golf Course plays to a 9-hole par of 36 and a maximum 9-hole distance of 3,150 yards. The signature hole is #9, a 390-yard, par 4, which is also the most difficult hole on the course. Additional sets of tees can be used when playing a double loop eighteen hole round.
